Investigators: Increasingly Likely That James Harrison Bit Own Son

FRANKLIN PARK, PA—Police detectives investigating an alleged dog-bite injury to James Harrison III, the son of Pittsburgh Steeler James Harrison, said that recent evidence suggests the linebacker became agitated by the toddler's crying last Wednesday and bit the child himself.

Did Steeler James Harrison Bite his Own Son?

"After carefully piecing together testimony from people at the scene, we believe witnesses were trying to protect Mr. Harrison, who after all is a creature of instinct and may not be responsible for his actions," Officer Mark Bendiger told reporters. "If that turns out to be the case, the legal liability will actually rest with Harrison's handlers. Linebackers can be an aggressive breed, and we've seen plenty of examples of how poorly trained and badly socialized James is in particular." James III is almost completely recovered and has been released from Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, while his father has been quarantined at Animal, Linebacker, and Wide Receiver Control of McKees Rocks, PA.

Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin Should Drop the Puck in Stanley Cup

CORAOPOLIS, PA -Okay, so Pittsburgh fans are both pissed and amused by it's former football leader taking the reins of the Carolina Hurricanes Siren and donning red and waving a white Carolina towel.

Well, I don't know if the NHL does a ceremonial dropping of the puck for the Stanley Cup Finals but if they do I am calling for the Pittsburgh Penguins organization to ask Current Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin drop the puck in game 3 in Pittsburgh.

He is a huge Pens fan and was present last year and this year in Mellon Arena for the playoffs. He wears a Sidney Crosby sweater to the games and what a better way to stick it back in Bill Cowhers ribs than to send the message that Mike Tomlin is the new sheriff in town.

ESPN's Brian Kenny Goes the Distance with Boxer Floyd Mayweather.

This is fantastic stuff. I am late in posting this and you may have already see this ESPN television interview between Brian Kenny and Boxer Floyd Mayweather.

I am a huge, huge, Brian Kenny fan. He has been around but is on the rise this year and will be a big player at ESPN as his role is now getting bigger. I personally believe he will achieve the Dan Patrick status that Patrick left behind. He now has his own espn radio show and i just love it. He is always positive and has fun and knows his stuff and is not afraid of the hard question. His radio show is truly enjoyable to listen. The Tirico and Van Pelt radio time slot will be Kenny's by years end. I have been a Brian Kenny fan for about two years and i just thought you would like to see this video of him and Mayweather going at it. Kenny holds his own and goes the distance with Floyd and I love how Floyd insults Kenny and Kenny is unfazed and just laughs. I meant that is a real pro not get pissed at an insult and turn the interview around. Kenny had questions and he asked them and argued them. he did not let Floyd Mayweather rattle him. Just fantastic stuff. Enjoy.

We Are All Pawns in the Game of Sports.

We are all just pawns in their game. We are allowed to see what they let us. It's like a magician and his tricks. Yes, they are illusions but how do I do them? They try to convince you that illusions ARE magic. Just like the NBA tries to tell you they don't care who is in the NBA finals.

Manny Ramirez was tested for a P.E.D. in Spring Training and the tests came back at a high level of testosterone. They didn't know if the high level were natural or unnatural so they tested him a second time. The results came back as unnatural.

MLB gave Manny a chance to supply evidence against these positive test results. Time passed and he could not supply the proper evidence to do so and they decided to suspend him.

It's no secret the NBA needs the Lakers or Knicks to be successful. Heck, during the Kobe/Shaq era they changed the playoff format to 7 games in round 1 because they knew nobody could beat LA 4 times in a series.

MLB is a business. NBA is a business. NFL is a business. They are the same as NBC or Apple. If NBC loses their hit show their network will suffer. If Apple loses Steve Jobs they know they are in a world of hurt.

The MLB needs big market teams to succeed. The Yankees are MLB's "Steve Jobs." So it is no surprise to me that MLB waited to release the news and suspend Manny Ramirez when their biggest star Alex Rodriguez was set to return. A-Rod does not handle pressure well. Look at his playoff stats.

Perhaps there are no two bigger stars in the sport right now than Manny and A-Rod. How could MLB take the spotlight off their biggest star in a time when the world will be watching him and putting extreme pressure on him to succeed while "clean?" Easy, move the spotlight across the country to LA.

Do you think the ESPN's of the world were updating us on how well A-Rod was doing the day before his return? No, they were covering Manny while A-Rod slipped through the back door back into MLB.

Don't be naive. NBA referees help determine games. Boxers are paid to take a fall. MLB tells you what to think.

Manny Ramirez Suspended 50 Games For P.E.D.'s. Breaking Now!=

From the Mouth of the Needle.
It seems that this may not be so much steroids or anything intentionally used but once again as we here so much something prescribed by a doctor for personal medical use.

We here at the needle have always thought Manny could be a user. His body his huge but he has been very smart to wear the baggy uniform for all of these years to hide his huge body. All the other guys are too macho and stupid to hide the gain in body size and they explode out of their uniforms. Much of this still has to shake out and this may just be a prescribed drug mistake and not long time cheating and using situation.

This blog will also go on record as it has in the past saying that it would not be surprised if Ken Griffey from back in the day and Albert Pujols make the same news. We are not accusing but we would not be surprised. A-Rod, Clemens, Gagne and Manny are no surprise either.

Manny Ramirez issues statement through MLBPA
"Manny has requested that the Players Association release the following statement on his behalf."

"Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was okay to give me. Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I've taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons.
